چکیده

In recent years, regulating a wind energy conversion system (WECS) under fluctuating speed and enhancing the quality of electricity provided to grid has become hard challenge for many academics. The current research provides better control strategy decrease occurrence chattering phenomena. Combined with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) pitch angle control, is possible increase performance efficiency Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) based Wind Energy Conversion System. This study attempts initially regulate generator side converter track reference established by MPPT algorithm. And secondly, relieve problem associated conventional sliding mode (CSMC), proposed (PSMC) on novel smooth continuous switching control. Besides, suggested stability confirmed using Lyapunov’s function. complete was evaluated in MATLAB/Simulink (MathWorks, Natick, MA, USA) environment 2 MW PMSG’s power, random fluctuations show approach’s robustness, which then compared CSMC other common approaches available literature. simulation results reveal that recommended approach delivers good speed, accuracy, stability, output current’s ripple.

A Novel Sliding Mode Control Scheme for a PMSG-Based Variable Speed Wind Energy Conversion System

This work proposes a novel control scheme for a variable speed wind turbine system based on the permanent magnet synchronous generator. Regions II and III for a wind speed profile are considered, hence the control is designed for maximizing the generated power from the wind turbine when the wind speed is below the nominal wind speed, and to saturate the generated power when the wind speed is ab...

PMSG Wind Energy Conversion System: Modeling and Control

In this paper, a model of a variable speed wind turbine using a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) is presented and the control schemes are proposed. The model presents the aerodynamic part of the wind turbine, the mechanic and the electric parts. Simulations have been conducted with Matlab/Simulink to validate the model and the proposed control schemes.
